Battery grid

Battery grid packaging that organizes internal wires and exposes a current collection lug for easier, cheaper battery assembly.

What it is

This design uses a rigid frame with internal wiring to create defined open areas while routing a current collection lug out through the top. It’s technically significant because it standardizes current collection geometry inside the grid, reducing assembly variability across cells and strings. Previously, using this specific wire-and-lug grid layout required licensing from the patent holder for products that implemented the same structure.

What you could build

Design and sell modular EV and stationary battery packs using this grid frame to speed assembly and cut integration costs.
