Full Description
As companies grow, they adopt a software suite to help run the business, known as ERP (enterprise resource planning). YC describes it as the operating system a business runs on.
YC says ERPs are known for being expensive, painful to implement and disliked by users, yet they are absolutely necessary and business-critical for the companies that use them.
The ask: new startups building software that helps businesses run, ideally loved by customers for its flexibility and ease of use. YC thinks this software is valuable enough to leave room for dozens of new, hugely successful vendors.
