Startup Distribution is Harder Than Building

Elevator Pitch
Many startups struggle with product distribution, finding it more chaotic and unpredictable than the logical process of building. This problem needs solutions for effective customer acquisition and growth.
Full Description
So I’ve been deep in building for months. Late nights, fixing bugs, refining onboarding, tweaking UX, optimizing performance — all the stuff we tell ourselves will make the launch worth it.
And honestly? Building felt good. Hard, but logical.
If something didn’t work, I could debug it.
If something was missing, I could ship it.
It was all in my control.
Then came distribution.
That part feels… chaotic. You launch and hear nothing. Or you get traffic but no conversions. Or signups with zero activation. It’s like playing a game where you don’t fully understand the rules yet.
I’m starting to think SaaS isn’t really about who builds the best product — it’s about who figures out distribution first.
For those of you who’ve gotten past the early “shouting into the void” stage:
- •What actually changed things for you?
- •Was there a specific channel that finally clicked?
- •When did growth start feeling intentional instead of random?
Would genuinely love to hear how others navigated this shift.
