Elevator Pitch
Permits, inspections and licensing still run on manual review in almost all of America's 19,000 cities. YC wants AI that clears the backlog, starting with building permits.

Full Description
Building a house or opening a business starts with city permission: forms, plan reviews, inspections and months of waiting. City staff spend their time checking drawings against code and matching applications to zoning rules, work that AI models can now do. Delays make projects more expensive and kill some outright, while every new building pays property tax for decades. YC estimates that approving permits in 10% of today's time would add $16 billion a year in city tax revenue.
The ask: start with permits, then take on 311, public records, licensing and inspections. YC says selling software to government used to be hard and isn't anymore.
