The most valuable data sits behind walls at defense contractors, banks, hospitals and nuclear plants, and it can't be sent to an AI API. YC founders keep meeting customers who love the product but need it to run fully on their own premises, disconnected from the internet.
The ask: on-prem models, deployment tooling, security accreditation and hardware that bring frontier AI inside those walls. It is slower and harder to sell, but YC notes that is where the biggest budgets and most defensible businesses sit.
