AI agents can now browse the web and use desktop applications. YC cites OpenAI's Operator and Anthropic's Computer Use as proof, along with several good open-source options.
YC compares this to giving a brain in a jar a pair of hands: the agent can now act. In YC's view, it means every website and app effectively has an API, and any workflow a person does on a computer can be automated. YC thinks this probably multiplies the addressable use cases for AI agents about tenfold.
