Full Description
According to YC, almost 4 million people in the US and Europe, roughly 1% of the workforce, work in compliance and audit. Costs keep rising as the rules expand, from GDPR and Dodd-Frank to AML/KYC checks and ESG reporting.
Much of the work is manual: reading dense regulations, cross-checking internal policies and procedures, sampling front-line work by hand and writing repetitive reports. Auditors often sift through large amounts of unstructured data to find problems.
YC argues LLMs are good at this. They can read regulations, policies or financial statements and flag issues, and take over much of the testing auditors now do by hand, such as spotting anomalies, incomplete records or contradictory policies.
The ask: tools where a model checks everything instead of a sample, "continuously auditing" every company in the world.
