Full Description
YC calls the AI data center buildout the largest capital investment project in American history. Beyond the well-known demand for GPUs, power and electricians, it has created less obvious shortages: big power transformers take about three years to arrive, and switchgear, circuit breakers and liquid cooling gear are sold out; and the grain-oriented electrical steel used in transformer cores comes from a single US plant that can't keep up.
The ask: companies that enable any part of the data center supply chain.
