Full Description
Salesforce and ServiceNow each make more than $10B a year and are each worth more than $200B. Both were founded about 25 years ago, built the first cloud-native CRM and ITSM systems, and rode the cloud wave past the incumbents. YC notes NetSuite, SuccessFactors and other early-2000s startups did the same: SaaS let them build a much better product while incumbents struggled to adapt.
Why now: YC sees AI as the same once-in-a-generation opportunity. Future enterprise systems won't just record work done by humans; AI will be built in throughout, helping employees work faster and more accurately.
The ask: AI-native enterprise software, "Cursor for sales, HR, and accounting." YC expects today's incumbents to struggle to rebuild around AI, giving startups time to win.
