Elevator Pitch
YC expects AI to push the cost of building software toward zero, with engineers managing teams of agents instead of writing code. It wants the tools for that.

Full Description
YC argues that language models can already write code better than most humans and will bring the cost of building software down to zero. It does not think this ends the job of software developer. Its view is that the world will need more engineers, because software is going to run almost everything.
Those engineers won't write much code directly. They will manage teams of agents that build software for them. Besides writing code, agents will handle most of the other specialized work: QA, deployment, security and compliance audits, translations and operations.
The ask: tools that let small groups of generalist developers manage large teams of agents working together to build and ship lots of software.
